Connecting the corners of the NCR is the metro, and it is being operated by different divisions. Delhi gets DMRC, Gurgaon gets Rapid Metro, and Noida gets NMRC. The latter is all set to get its extension soon, connecting Greater Noida with the extended Aqua Line. The approval from PIB for Noida-Greater Noida Metro is received and the central government will be investing 20 per cent in this project. The new Aqua Line Metro’s extension will connect Greater Noida West area with Gautam Buddh Nagar and will subsequently connect with the DMRC network. This 14.95-kilometer-long Delhi Metro line will have nine stations and will travel through the Greater Noida West region. However, the final budgetary approval for the project is awaited.

Four of the nine metro stations will be built in the first phase while five stations will be built in the second phase of the project.

In phase one, there will be four - Sector-122, Sector-123, Greater Noida Sector-4, Ecotech, and Greater Noida Sector-2 metro stations.

The second phase will have 5.8 kilometers. This will have five stations including Noida Sector 3, Greater Noida Sector-10, Greater Noida Sector 12, and Greater Noida Knowledge Park metro stations.

The Public Investment Board (PIB) of the Central government gave its approval for the metro line between Noida and Greater Noida West on November 10. The estimated cost whole project is nearly Rs 2,200 crores.

his extended part of the Aqua Line of the Delhi Metro is to link Noida and Greater Noida (West), commonly known as Noida Extension. Noida Sector 51 and Knowledge Park V in Greater Noida will be connected by the Aqua Line metro expansion route (West).

The Noida-Greater Noida West metro will run parallel to the expressway. Greater Noida West has areas like Gaur City, Gaur City 2, Ajnara, and other posh societies. The metro line will benefit the people who travel to Delhi and Noida for work every day.

The project will be jointly developed by the Central government, Greater Noida Authority, and the Uttar Pradesh government.

Moreover, a metro line connecting Greater Noida's Sector 142 and Botanical Garden Metro Station became recently operational. It will connect the Sectors 142, 136, 91, 93, 98, 127, 97, 126, and 125 stations.
